It seems that prior to the "big hunt" out west, a couple of awards were given to Nebraska City hunters, namely Paul Barker and Winston Rashleigh, for their mighty efforts of the field the previous year.
"Sunky" Barker, who became well known for his scent after mixing it up with a striped beast, was presented a trophy for his valiant efforts of surviving on the battlefield.
And then there was ole' dead eye Win, who was awarded a special feline trophy for ridding the sporting field of mavericks with large teeth and fierce appearance.
All's well that ends well. The hunters and honorees returned with their bag limits . . . of pheasants that is.
Congratulations to Sister Anthony, who was named in Who's Who in American Women. Sister Anthony, administrator of St. Mary's hospital, has been in hospital administration many years. Contrary to what may be common belief, few hospital administrators are persons with medical experience. Hospital administration is business management, she said.
