Some sort of a population explosion

The population projections offered the other night at the Planning commission meeting ought to be an eye opener for most people.

Although many of us would like to see some sort of a population explosion that few towns ever have, (like the Bellevue "bedrooms") we settle for a slow and steady growth.

Of all the reports there was one that caused alarm.

The study showed that Nebraska City is losing its people between the ages of 20 to 34.

The principal reason: Nebraska City does not have a college or trade school.

Why not?

There are plans now under way to build a trade school at Peru State. I don't agree with my friends who say that is the best location.
