Dear Governor Morrison

This is to advise you of the educational opportunity not yet recognized by your office nor the legislature.

It seems only fitting and proper that if the Great State of Nebraska will finance "boots and togs," the TV station for schools, then similar consideration should be given the "Otoean," NCHS newspaper.

It is my suggestion that students can gain more from reading a well edited Otoean.

You have to admit, my idea is a jim dandy.

It wouldn't cost much, certainly a whale of lot less than high-priced electronics gear.

The students themselves could be the teachers and you wouldn't have to pay 'em to do the jobs they are already doing for nuttin!

Rep. Glenn Cunningham is right. Omaha University needs a Communist for a speaker like the nation needed a Nazi instructor during World War II.

Phooey to the "American Communist" and "American Nazi" parties.

Take off that "American."

There's sure'n blazes nothing American about being a Communist or Nazi. The country must be getting wishy-washy to allow all their palaver.

Well, as poor luck would have it, the summer is nearing an end and the Chamber of Commerce still hasn't got the American Sunbathers Association to convene in Nebraska City.

You can't blame the ASA . . . a bare problem it would have with the especially hot sun and large "skeeters."

There's nothing new about Dutch Elm disease in Nebraska City.

Virgil Pitstick, a member of the city park board for 10 years, warned city officials several years ago that the disease existed and needed immediate attention.

Pitstick said diseased trees on North Tenth are in bad shape threatening all Elm trees in Greggsport.

It would be a shame, to say the least, for the home of Arbor Day to lose its trees.

Dick Miyoshi, who knows his stuff about the disease, said the city isn't talking pennies when it talks about halting the spread. The figure is near $75,000.
